In addition to being a practising family physician at the Family Practice Health Centre at Women’s College Hospital (WCH), Danielle Martin is also Vice-President, Medical Affairs and Health System Solutions at WCH and an assistant professor in the Departments of Family and Community Medicine and Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. In 2006, Dr Martin helped launch Canadian Doctors for Medicare, and she chaired its board until May 2013.
