Besrour Forum 2017

Interested in learning more about the Besrour Centre’s work to advance family medicine globally? This year’s Besrour Forum takes place on November 7th at Le Westin Montreal in Montreal, Quebec, and is open to anyone interested in global health. Additional sessions related to the Besrour Centre will take place during Family Medicine Forum (FMF), November 8th to 11th.

This year’s Besrour Forum theme is “Leading the Way to Universal Health Coverage Through Family Medicine: Skills for success.” Delegates will have the opportunity to:

  • Build research and quality improvement skills through action-focused workshops
  • Explore the ethics of international partnerships
  • Identify research priorities for the global family medicine community
  • Engage in dialogue around continuing professional development

… and much more!

If you miss the Forum on November 7th, please join us at FMF for the Besrour Centre’s capstone session on Friday, November 10th, to learn about the Besrour Centre’s global impact and to meet international partners and stakeholders (session F462, “Come Meet the [Besrour] Family: The joys and challenges of global family life,” from 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., Room 521ABC).

Other Besrour Centre sessions in the FMF program cover topics such as using storytelling for mutual understanding, appreciating family medicine’s role in Canada’s international assistance policy, and learning how to create data-ready practices.

We hope you’ll also join us on Saturday, November 11th, at 7:00 a.m. for the Walk With the Docs – Advancing Family Medicine Globally.

To attend the Besrour Forum, simply register through the FMF registration portal.
