Welcome to Vancouver!

Welcome to Vancouver! On behalf of the British Columbia College of Family Physicians (BCCFP), it is a great pleasure to welcome you to Family Medicine Forum (FMF) 2013. We’re excited to co-host this year’s event along with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), Section of Teachers and Section of Researchers.

It seems that each year the FMF scientific program gets bigger and stronger to keep pace with the changing learning interests of family physicians across the country. This year is no different. The program offers tremendous variety of clinical, teaching and research streams including some that are dedicated to residents and family doctors in their early years of practice.

There are many events and receptions taking place throughout the week where you will have lots of networking opportunities to catch up with friends and colleagues. And if you find that you have a little spare time, please explore our beautiful city. There are so many great things to see and do here, and you don’t have to go far to find them! Tourism Vancouver will be on-site during FMF so please drop by their booth if you want some ideas of what to do.

The elected leaders of the BCCFP look forward to seeing you during your time in Vancouver. We’d love to bring you up-to-date on some changes that took place at our office in recent months, and to let you know about our progress on many exciting programs including the recent launch of a public campaign targeted at BC patients and the general public.

FMF is a wonderful opportunity to bring us all together each year to learn, share, and reconnect. It has a unique energy and enthusiasm that helps motivate us and keep family medicine alive and strong. We hope that you enjoy FMF 2013!

Sincerely,
