The Research and Education Foundation (REF) has adopted a new name as part of its overall renewal effort: the Foundation for Advancing Family Medicine (FAFM).
The College of Family Physicians of Canada’s Board of Directors has approved changes to the REF that includes its new name, mission, and vision, as well as a restructuring of the Foundation Board.
These changes are designed to better reflect the Foundation’s purpose and role in supporting family medicine through philanthropy. They will also help raise the profile of the Foundation to support its growth and success.
As the FAFM moves to establish a smaller, skills-based Board, we are looking for new FAFM Board Directors. All CFPC members are eligible to be considered for an FAFM Board Director position.
