Rourke Baby Record

The Rourke Baby Record is an evidence-based guide for primary health care practitioners to use in providing well-baby and well-child care (from birth to five years of age). This popular resource has been updated for 2017 and will be launched at Family Medicine Forum on Saturday, November 11th.

The session launching the new Rourke Baby Record will be held in Room 710B in the Palais des congrès de Montréal from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Updates to the guide include new recommendations related to allergenic foods, social determinants of health, and oral health. The presenters will share practice pearls to help participants answer parents’ questions more effectively and they will discuss resources that are available to support the advice.

After the session you can meet the authors of the guide in the foyer of Room 710B from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.:

  • Leslie Rourke, a professor emerita of family medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland
  • Denis Leduc, an associate professor of pediatrics at McGill University and a past president of the Canadian Paediatric Society
  • James Rourke, a professor of family medicine and past dean of medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland
  • Patricia Li, a pediatric clinical epidemiologist and an assistant professor of pediatrics at McGill University
