The Sections of Teachers and Researchers are delighted to present a new opportunity for innovation, learning, and collaboration for 2015: Family Medicine Innovations in Research and Education Day (formerly known as Family Medicine Education Forum [FMEF] and Research Day), on Wednesday, November 11th. Registration for this day enables you to attend both education workshops and research presentations.

Our joint plenary session, The Teaching, Research, and Practice Journey in Family Medicine: Getting Your Story “Right”, will feature Brown University’s Dr Jeff Borkan, an engaging speaker and prominent family medicine researcher, teacher, and administrator, who is sure to challenge and stimulate us to reflect upon the various roles played by family physicians.

Researchers will present free-standing oral presentations of new research as well as poster presentations. Recipients of the 2015 research awards are among the list of distinguished presenters. Teachers can participate in different workshops spanning the learning continuum with highlights on utilizing the newly launched Fundamental Teaching Activities in Family Medicine: A Framework for Faculty DevelopmentTM (FTA Framework).

Breakfast, breaks, and lunch are included with your registration fees. There will also be ample opportunity to network with your colleagues. The Section of Researchers and Section of Teachers hope you will attend their special lunches and celebratory dinners at FMF.
